Our mantra at the Bone Health Foundation is
‘Healthy Bones for Every Body’
In order to get the message out we have a program targeted toward Upper Primary school student. Designed specifically to adhere to the Education Departments Units of Work, students also learn about the importance of bone health.

The Bone Health Foundation have also assisted with the CaFHS roll out an education program for nurses, to educate about the importance of screening babies for hip dysplasia.
Research
ANZBMS and BHF continue to work together to fund research grants.
The Bone Health Foundation, in conjunction with the ANZBMS, are please to announce that we are calling for applications for bone related reaseach again in 2024
We will be offering a Health Innovation Grant, up to the value of $50,000 for a project up to 18 months in duration.

Since 2022 The Bone Health Foundation has funded over $400,000 in seed grants Grants for Early Career Researchers, including 6 x $25,000 Grants in Aid projects in conjunction with the ANZBMS. In 2023 we added two additional Grants, one Health Innovation Grant and a Collaborative Interdisciplinary Grant.
The Bone Health Foundation plays a vital role in funding some of Australia’s brightest scientists as they seek out better treatments, preventions and cures for musculoskeletal conditions.
It is estimated the cost of treatment of bone disorders exceeds $4.6 Billion per annum and it’s a figure that is expected to rise as our population continues to age.
This is why the Foundation works so hard to provide vital funds for research with an aim to:

WCH Hip Dysplasia Clinic
The Bone Health Foundation has assisted with the funding of research which lead to the discovery of an increased incidence of the late diagnosis of Hip Dysplasia in young children. A clinic has been set up at the Women’s and Children’s hospital in Adelaide to screen and treat patients with Hip Dysplasia.
